Payment Methods Supported on RemoteGenies
Payment Methods Supported on RemoteGenies
This article covers how clients fund their accounts and how Genies receive their earnings.
For Clients: Paying Into the Platform
RemoteGenies uses Stripe as its payment gateway. All transactions are processed in USD.
Accepted Payment Methods
- Credit and debit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and others supported by Stripe
- Digital wallets – Apple Pay and Google Pay (availability depends on your location)
- Local bank payments – Available in select regions through Stripe's local payment options
RemoteGenies does not store your card details. Stripe handles all payment processing and sensitive data on our behalf.
How Credits Work
When you make a payment, the amount is added to your account as credits (USD). Credits are what you use to pay Genies for completed tasks.
New clients receive $20 in free credits upon registration. These free credits are drawn down first before any paid credits are touched.
Topping Up Your Account
If you have an active subscription (Advanced or Top-tier, monthly or yearly) and need more credits without changing your plan, you can top up directly:
- Minimum top-up: $50
- Maximum top-up: $600
Topped-up credits are added to your existing balance and do not affect your subscription's expiry date.
Pay As You Go
If you are on the Pay as you go plan, you purchase credits as needed. After a successful purchase, your credits are immediately available and shown in your dashboard.
For Genies: Receiving Payouts
Genies are paid in USD after a task is completed and the 7-day holding period passes.
Supported Payout Methods
Payouts are processed through Wise. The following payout methods are supported:
- Bank transfer
- PayPal
E-Wallet Payouts (GCash, PayMaya, and Others)
Several e-wallet options — including GCash, PayMaya, GrabPay, ShopeePay, and others — are currently disabled for Wise payouts. These are not available as payout methods at this time.
The following were specifically disabled and are not supported:
- PayMaya
- GCash
- GrabPay
- Starpay
- Bayad Wallet
- Tayocash
- ShopeePay
- JuanCash
- GoTyme
If you were expecting to use one of these, select a bank transfer or PayPal option when submitting your payout request.
Payout Timing
Funds become available for withdrawal after the 7-day holding period following task completion and client approval. Payout requests must be submitted by the designated cut-off (Thursday, 11:59 PM PST on payout weeks) to be processed that Friday.
