Approve or Reject a Genie's Time Extension Request

When a Genie needs more time to complete a task, they can submit a request for additional time. As the client, you decide whether to approve or reject it.

What happens when a request comes in

You'll receive a notification when your Genie submits a time extension request. The request will be visible on the task.

Approving the request

If you approve the extension:

• The task timer is updated to include the additional time requested.

  

• Your Genie receives a notification confirming the approval.

• Work continues with the extended timeline.

  

Rejecting the request

If you reject the extension:

• No additional time is added to the task timer.

• Your Genie receives a notification that the request was rejected.

• The original task timeline remains in effect.

Things to consider before deciding

• Review the reason your Genie gave for requesting more time before making a decision.

• If you're unsure, use GenieChat inside the task to ask for clarification before approving or rejecting.

• Your project coordinator is also available in the chat if you need guidance.
