What Your Project Coordinator Does at Each Stage of Your Task
What Your Project Coordinator Does at Each Stage of Your Task
Every task on RemoteGenies comes with a dedicated project coordinator — assigned automatically from the moment you create a task. This article explains what the coordinator does at each stage, so both clients and Genies know what to expect and who to turn to.
The Coordinator Is Assigned Immediately
Your coordinator is assigned as soon as a task is created — even while the task is still in Draft status. You don't need to request one. From that point forward, the coordinator has full visibility into the task and can message you directly through the task chat.
What the Coordinator Does at Each Stage
Draft
- The coordinator is already assigned and can see your task.
- They can send you a message if they spot missing details or need to flag something early.
- If you're a client, you'll receive reminders to move the task to Open for Bids. Your coordinator is aware of this and may follow up if needed.
Open for Bids (Listed)
- The coordinator monitors the task and can assist if you need help evaluating proposals.
- They see all applicants and have the same access to task details as the client.
Awaiting Resources
- Once a Genie is hired and the task moves to Awaiting Resources, the coordinator steps in to review all provided materials.
- Their job at this stage: make sure the client's requirements and the Genie's expected outcomes are aligned before work begins.
- A GenieChat channel is created at this point. The coordinator is inside that channel and can message both parties.
- If anything is missing — files, access credentials, clarifications — the coordinator will flag it here.
In Progress
- The Genie is actively working. The coordinator monitors progress.
- If the task moves to Blocked, it means the Genie has flagged an obstacle. The coordinator will review the situation and may contact the client to request additional resources or information needed to unblock the task.
In Review / Pending Review
- The Genie has submitted output. The coordinator evaluates the work before or alongside the client's review.
- The coordinator helps ensure that all task requirements have been met before the status is moved to Completed.
- Upon completion, a 7-day period applies during which clients can raise concerns or request adjustments.
How to Reach Your Coordinator
The coordinator is available inside GenieChat — the task's built-in communication channel. You can message them directly from the Chat tab on any task page. Both clients and Genies can do this at any stage.
If a task is still in Draft and GenieChat hasn't opened yet, you can send the coordinator a direct message from within the task.
For Genies: What This Means for You
- Your coordinator can see your task from the moment it's created.
- They are your point of contact when a task is blocked or when resources are delayed.
- Use GenieChat to keep them informed of any issues. A quick message goes a long way in keeping the task moving.
- When you move a task to Blocked, expect the coordinator to review the situation and coordinate with the client on your behalf.
