Can a client hire you again after a completed task?
Yes. There is no restriction preventing a client from hiring the same Genie more than once. If a client was satisfied with your work, they can return and hire you again through the platform.
How a client can re-hire you
From your Genie profile, a client can:
- Invite you to bid on a new task they have posted
- Directly hire you for a listed task without going through the bidding process
Both options are accessible from your profile page. Clients can view your completed tasks, reviews, portfolio, and assessment results there — so a strong track record makes it easier for them to choose you again.
One thing to be aware of: top-tier access limits
If a client is on a non-subscription (pay-as-you-go or free credits) plan, they have a cap on how many times they can hire top-tier Genies — those with 7 or more years of experience. Once they hit that limit, they will be prompted to upgrade to a subscription plan to continue hiring top-tier Genies.
This means:
- If you are a top-tier Genie and your client has reached their top-tier hire limit, they will need to upgrade their plan before they can hire you again.
- If you are an entry-level or intermediate Genie, this limit does not affect your re-hire eligibility.
What you can do
If a client wants to work with you again but is running into issues hiring you, the most likely cause is the top-tier access limit on their plan. Let them know they can upgrade from their account's plan management page to unlock continued access to top-tier Genies.
