How to Review and Approve Work Submissions
When your Genie submits their final output, the task moves to Pending Review status. You have full control over what happens next — approve it, request changes, or flag an issue. Here's how.
Step 1: Find the Task in Pending Review
Log in to your RemoteGenies account and open your Task Board. Look for the task under Pending Review. Click the task name to open it.
Step 2: Review the Output
Inside the task page, go to the Chat tab. Your Genie's final message will be there along with any attached files, links, or notes they included with the submission.
Download and open the files. Check:
- Are all deliverables complete?
- Does the output match your original instructions?
- Is the quality what you expected?
If you have questions or need clarification before deciding, message your Genie directly in Chat. Your project coordinator is also in that chat if you need a second set of eyes.
Step 3: Request Revisions (If Needed)
If something needs to be fixed or redone, message your Genie in Chat with specific feedback. They can revise and resubmit. The task stays in Pending Review until you're satisfied.
Step 4: Approve the Submission
Once you're satisfied with the output:
- Go to the Status field on the task page.
- Move the status to Approved.
This confirms you've accepted the work. The task will then automatically move to Completed after 7 days.
Important: Once you approve, a 7-day window begins. During this period, you can still raise a concern if you spot an issue. After 7 days, the task is automatically marked Completed and the Genie gets paid. Disputes cannot be raised after the task is closed.
Step 5: Leave Feedback
After approval, you'll be prompted to rate your Genie. The feedback form includes:
- Satisfaction rating — 1 to 5 stars
- Experience tags — select all that apply (e.g., Delivered on time, Clear communication, Attention to details, Proactive approach, Delayed submission, Unresponsive, etc.)
- Optional comments — additional notes or appreciation
This feedback goes directly to your Genie and helps other clients make informed decisions.
The 7-Day Review Window
After a task is approved, you have 7 calendar days to flag any discrepancies or issues before the task is permanently closed. If you don't raise a concern within that window, the task closes automatically and payment is released to the Genie.
If you do spot an issue during this period, contact your project coordinator immediately through the task chat.
