What Your Project Coordinator Does on Every Task
Every task you post on RemoteGenies comes with a dedicated Project Coordinator already assigned. You don't request one — they're there from the moment your task is created.
When They Get Involved
Your coordinator is assigned as soon as your task exists, even while it's still in draft. They receive a notification when you create a task and can message you directly from that point forward. You don't have to wait until a Genie is hired to reach out to them.
What They Do Throughout Your Task
During Draft and Bidding
- Your coordinator is notified the moment you create a task.
- They can see your task and message you directly — use this if you need help structuring your brief or describing your requirements before Genies bid.
- If your task stays in draft, the coordinator will follow up to help you move it forward.
When a Genie Is Assigned
- Once a Genie accepts the task and it moves to Awaiting Resources, the coordinator reviews all provided materials and facilitates alignment between you and the Genie on requirements and expected outcomes.
- A GenieChat channel is created at this stage — your coordinator is inside that chat.
While Work Is In Progress
- The coordinator monitors the task and keeps communication moving.
- If the Genie encounters a blocker and the task status moves to Blocked, your coordinator will review the situation and may reach out to request additional information or resources from you to get the task moving again.
At Review and Completion
- When the Genie submits output and requests a move from In Progress to Review, your coordinator evaluates whether the work meets the requirements before the transition is approved.
- Once you're satisfied and request the task be marked Completed, the coordinator verifies that all criteria are met before the task is closed.
- After approval, a 7-day period applies during which you can raise any discrepancies or issues.
How to Reach Your Coordinator
Use GenieChat — your coordinator is a member of the task chat from the start. You can message them directly there at any point during the task lifecycle. You don't need to go through a separate support channel.
Why This Matters
The coordinator's role is not passive. They are accountable for task visibility, communication flow, and quality checks at every stage. If something is unclear, delayed, or blocked, they are your first point of contact — not a last resort.
