Understand Genie Tier Levels Before You Hire

Every Genie on RemoteGenies is pre-vetted and assigned a tier level based on their years of experience. Tiers exist so you can match the right level of expertise to your task — and understand how that affects the hourly rate you pay.

The Three Tier Levels

TierExperienceBest For
Entry-Level Professionals0–2 yearsBasic admin, data entry, research, simple content formatting
Advanced Professionals3–6 yearsContent creation, customer support, project assistance, VA work
Top-Tier Professionals7+ yearsTechnical, niche, or strategic roles — development, design, ops, strategy

You can see each Genie's tier directly on their profile.

Which Tier Do You Need?

Entry-Level — If your task is straightforward and repeatable: scheduling, inbox management, online research, data entry.

Advanced — If you need someone with applied skill: content repurposing, customer support management, project coordination, specialized VA tasks.

Top-Tier — If the work is technical, complex, or strategic: web development, AutoCAD, 3D modeling, business strategy, senior-level design work.

When in doubt, go by the complexity of the output, not just the category. A "content" task that requires strategy and creative direction is Top-Tier work, not Entry-Level.

How Tier Affects What You Can Access by Plan

Your subscription plan determines how freely you can hire Top-Tier Professionals.

  • Non-top-tier plan clients can hire Top-Tier Genies up to 5 times. Once that limit is reached, your Genie list will still show Entry-Level and Advanced Genies available to invite. Top-Tier Genies will no longer be invitable until you upgrade.
  • When you hit the 5-hire limit, you'll see an option to upgrade your plan to continue accessing Top-Tier Professionals.
  • Top-tier plan subscribers have unrestricted access to all tiers.

A Note on Rates

Each tier has a different hourly rate. The exact rate for any Genie is visible on their profile before you hire. All tasks on RemoteGenies are billed hourly — there are no fixed-price projects.

Quick Reference

  • Tier is assigned during vetting based on experience — it's not self-reported.
  • All tiers are pre-vetted. Tier signals specialization level, not whether a Genie is trustworthy.
  • You can filter Genies by experience level when searching or reviewing applicants for your task.
  • If you're unsure which tier fits your task, your dedicated Project Coordinator can advise before you invite anyone.
